I’m a Bad Pet

I ripped out all of my teeth

To lessen my aggression

I bite when threatened by

unfamiliarity

I am so scary when I get frightened

I’m like such a bad dog

I got my wings clipped

To lessen my curiosities

I leave when I get the chance

I caw loudly and cause a ruckus

In my stirring boredom

I am such a bad bird

I got my claws removed

To lessen my painful kneading

I am causing pain via my affection

I’m scratching

I’m ruining the leather couch

For my mundane pleasure

I am like such a bad cat

And if I had a piece of my frontal lobe removed

I think I’d still be hysterical over the human condition

If still be detached from the body I’ve been given

I think I’m just like a really bad pet
